Appreciating Tea Time

A Tea Time ho imparatto moltissimi fatti interessanti sugli anziani che vivono a Lugano. Quando erano giovani, hanno avuto una adolescenza molto diversa dalla nostra. Molti si svegliavano prestissimo per andare a lavorare, e andare a scuola. Aveva faccende da fare, dovevano pulire la casa e aiutare i loro genitori. La sera o nei weekend non potevano uscire, anche se la signora Yolanda ci ha rivelato che lei scappava di casa alla notte per andare a ballare e a divertirsi con i propri amici. Ho anche imparato che la città era molto diversa, non c'erano molti negozi, e le macchine non venivano praticamente usate, quindi era difficile spostarsi per Lugano. Penso che Tea Time sia molto importante per la comunità, riporta i giovani d'oggi al passato, e ci fa apprezzare ciò che abbiamo oggi. 




At tea time I learn many interesting facts about the elderly who live in Lugano. When they were younger, they had a very different adolescence from ours. Many woke up early to go to work, and then they had to go to school. They had a lot of chores to do, and help their parents everytime they could. In the evening or on weekends they couldn't go out even if Ms.Yolanda told us that she used to sneak out her house at nigh,t to go dancing and to have fun with her friends. I also learned that the city was very different, there were not many shops and cars were not used very much, so it was difficult to move around Lugano. I think that Tea Time is very important for the community, it brings younger generations to the past, and it makes them appreciate what they have today.
